Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new market opportunities
  • Develop, build, and manage client database of prospects in CRM (SalesForce)
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and community events to help promote the company
  • Use existing contacts and any other means available to create leads
  • Set sales targets, annually, quarterly, and monthly
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships to maintain existing clients
  • Identifies potential business partners and negotiates agreements
  • Participating in new business contract negotiations
  • Distribute clients information packets to prospects
  • Ensure all proposals are approved prior to presenting them to the prospects
  • Ensure prospects receive marketing literature and price quotes, answer any questions and obtain any further information necessary to close new business
  • Respond to all inquiries and request for quotes in a timely manner
  • Maintain record and tracking of all proposals in progress in the CRM and timely follow up to maximize sales opportunities
  • Arrange appointments to give sales presentations to potential clients
  • Understand and identify client needs and expectations in order to recommend specific offerings and services
  • Communicate to appropriate parties any problem area and work to find an immediate resolution
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market knowledge
  • Discuss any unique request or concerns from clients with the President
  • Obtain referral brokers and submit appropriate documents
  • Makes direct contact with referral brokers in order to help clarify questions or issues they may have related to their commission statements
  • Enter data and ensure that information in our CRM (Salesforce) is accurate and be willing to call prospects to request additional info and upload to CRM
  • Gather documentation for the Underwriting department
  • Work schedule will generally be 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, however there may be times when it would be necessary to assist the sales process during off hours
